Aamir Khan, who is known for being extremely particular about the films he picks, recently said that he is ready to work in regional films, given he finds the right script. He also expressed his desire to work with top southern stars, all while addressing a press conference, in Hyderabad, for his upcoming release Dangal, which is based on the life of female wrestler Geeta Phogat.
Khan went on say that, “I have always been a big fan of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan in Telugu. So I would love to act with them, if it is a Tamil film I would love to work with Rajinikanth, he is someone I have been a huge fan of all along, so if I get a chance to work with him I would love that.”
Khan’s upcoming film will be released in Telugu and Tamil, apart from being released in Hindi.
Khan said that he is yet to watch the dubbed versions himself, “I was busy in post-production of the Hindi version also. But I have seen a few scenes of Tamil and Telugu versions. I quite liked watching myself speak Tamil and Telugu. It is really nice. I wish I could have done a film in the original language itself, but it will be difficult for me to learn entirely a new language. But if that happens, I would love it.”
As of now, Aamir, along with the rest of his co-stars as well as the director of the film, have been eagerly promoting their film all across the country.
Aamir, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who play his on-screen daughters, recently made an appearance on the famous Koffee with Karan show, which airs on Star World, every Sunday, at 9.
The Dangal team has been busy building up anticipation for the much-awaited big release of the year, by sharing Aamir’s weight loss journey, along with videos of both Sana and Sanya amp-ing up their fitness routines for the role of on-screen wrestlers.
Dangal is all set to hit the big screens, all across the country, this Friday, December 23.
