TGC

Being journalists by training and profession, it was our mutual love for reading and writing that brought us, Vaibhav Saklani and Shreya Bakhshi, along with our publisher Gaurav Rawal, the founders of The Good Chronicle, together; The Good Chronicle is the brainchild of our desire to fulfill the gap created by the lack of a reputable English language newspaper, that focused on local issues in the city of Rishikesh.
Here, in Rishikesh, prime national newspapers are easy available, and accessible, but, nothing that gives insight into the city. So, this made us put our thinking caps on, and we thought, why not come up with a good quality, objective, informative, yet entertaining English language newspaper.
There are many things we love; reading, writing, travel, and food being our mutual interests. Thus, we thought, why not focus our energies on providing the local population of our city with news that covers aspects that we love!
So, with the help of TGC, we aim to focus on aspects of local, state, and national news, travel, food, health and wellness, amongst other things.
We want TGC to be consumed not only by adults, but also the youth of the city, so they can develop informed opinions about their surroundings.
